We will use this page to post and share information about upcoming winter weather and resources for people experiencing homelessness as it becomes available.

Emergency Shelters are open throughout the year. Additional shelters capacity is available when temperatures are below freezing. We will update this page during winter weather events to make sure you have the most current information.

Weather Information

The National Weather Service has advised a cold front is expected to pass through the Tulsa area beginning Sunday, January 19. Cold weather can pose a danger to the health and safety of Tulsa residents and proper care should be taken to reduce exposure to these conditions.

If you would like us to include information on this page about your agency’s operations during the winter weather, please send that information to Erin Velez at evelez@housingsolutionstulsa.org

Coordinated Street Outreach

Outreach teams respond to requests as quickly as possible. However, due to high demand, teams may experience delays. If you or someone you see needs urgent assistance, please call 911. Feel free to share resources from this page with anyone in need.

  • During extreme weather events, Outreach Teams from several agencies work together to ensure that people living unsheltered (on the streets) are informed about and protected from upcoming winter weather. They bring them gear and offer rides to warming stations and shelters.

  • To submit an outreach request, please fill out our Outreach Request Form and we will find a team available to provide assistance.

  • If you see someone in immediate danger, please call 911.

How can I help?

  • Donate Coats, Hats, and Gloves, Blankets, etc.: Have extra winter wear? Your gently used or new donations can make a huge difference in someone’s life. Donations can be taken to the Tulsa Day Center at 415 W. Archer.

  • Monetary Contributions: Every dollar helps! Your donations allow teams to purchase life-saving items and provide essential services during extreme weather.
