A Way Home for Tulsa (AWH4T) is the collaborative effort to end and prevent homelessness across Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Housing Solutions serves as the designated lead agency for AWH4T, coordinating resources and strategies to address the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Since its establishment, local homeless service agencies, public housing authorities, healthcare organizations, the Veterans Affairs office, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders have been working together to improve programs, policies, and practices. This collective effort ensures that Tulsa County can provide permanent housing and wrap-around supportive services to as many individuals and families experiencing homelessness as possible.
Currently, AWH4T includes over 50 partner organizations collaborating to implement initiatives grounded in the Housing First approach. This model prioritizes quickly moving people experiencing homelessness into permanent housing, followed by supportive services such as case management, healthcare, substance use counseling, job training, and other resources. This approach helps individuals and families stabilize in housing, improve their quality of life, and achieve long-term success.
Partnership for A Way Home for Tulsa is always open. Partner agencies work together to implement programs to end homelessness in our community. Our programs are based on a Housing First model. This model means that Tulsans experiencing homelessness are moved into housing as quickly as possible and then provided with supportive case management services and any mental or physical health services they might need to help them stabilize in housing.
